LARRY'S STORY
Patience and perseverance. Those are the two words Larry Hatcher lived by. On November 8, 2008, Larry's life of perseverance in this world ended. Surrounded by his family, he passed away. In May, Larry fell 20 feet while on a roofing job in Asheville. He spent the next seven weeks in Mission Hospital. He suffered several broken bones, heart damage and severe brain damage. Eventually Larry's family was able to bring him back to Greenville. He was being treated at The Greenville Hospital System's North Greenville campus when he died.

Larry was a faithful member of Buncombe Road Baptist Church, and not just in attendance. Larry lived out the Gospel. He was a true servant and never wanted recognition for the many ways he served. He was a man of compassion, gentleness and great love. Larry's wife, Allyson, has been faithful and supportive. She tenderly cared for Larry during his last months. Their family at BRBC is hoping to help with medical bills resulting from Larry's care. We invite the community to join us in this effort. On November 22nd, BRBC is hosting The Helping Hands Yard Sale. Allyson's fellow employees at Greenville First Bank are also helping host the sale. It starts at 8:00 a.m. and will go until noon.
