Pastor

Reverend Eddie Coakley began serving at BRBC in August of 2003. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Theology from Wheaton College. He also has a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. At the age of 16, Pastor Eddie surrendered to the ministry. He has served in a number of ministries since that time. Eddie’s desire is to see people come to a saving knowledge of Christ and to help them grow in their faith. Eddie is originally from Nashville, Tennessee. He and his wife, Kelly, have a daughter, Emma Grace, and you will probably hear all about her in Eddie’s sermons!

Minister of Music

Wayne Batson attended BRBC for a number of years before becoming the music minister in 2006. He graduated from Almeda University and owned his own business for a number of years, but his desire has always been to serve in a church setting. He loves music and worshipping God. He grew up watching his father serve as a music minister in various local churches. His wife, Traci, is the church pianist. They have three children. The oldest, Amanda, runs the screen during services. Wayne has worked hard to develop a blended Sunday morning worship service. He loves choir and is always looking for new members. Don’t be surprised if he asks you to join in!

Children’s Minister

Amber Mathis has a heart for making sure children truly know who God is. Since joining the staff in 2006, she has worked very hard helping children learn to worship. Amber is originally from Alabama and has a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from The University of Mobile. She also attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary for two years, and has worked
with children for almost seven years. She is married to Dr. Donny Mathis. He is a professor at North Greenville University.

Youth Minister

Roger Gilreath is the latest addition to our staff. He come to us from Georgia to serve as our interm youth pastor. The burden and love that God has given Roger is evident and the more time you spend with him the more you can see the hand of God on his life. We are excited to have him working with our youth and look forward to what God will do with the most crucial generation to come of age in many decades.
